REWOUND

Stop the end of the universe with the power of time travel!

Use WASD to move around, mouse to drag / interact with objects within range.

You may try to figure out what each item does, or read explanation below if you feel stuck:

  • Computer - it's telling you to input some kind of code there... doc's sure he wrote the code somewhere in the lab. Input the code using number keys.
  • Key - drag to door to open it. One use only (but you can move the broken key if you want).
  • Cement - drop into water to create land.
  • Clock - rewind time! All the items return to their original positions, except for...
  • Time Bubble - A crystal emitting a strange aura. Anything touching the time bubble will stay in place when rewinding time.

Made for Trijam, almost in 3 hours.... Or well, maybe in 8-ish. Maybe next time I'll scope the project accordingly. The theme for the jam was "One enemy only", and what could be more cruel enemy than time itself?

Incredible game ! Wasn't that hard but the control were lacking, but honestly i'm really impressed ! I don't even know how you were able to do the rewind time, it felt really great on his own, i wouldn't be surprised if it took you the whole 3 hours ! :p

Congrats, even if i think it missed the point of single enemy.

Thanks for kind words! I just published an update to the game which addresses slippery movement some had problem with along with other improvements.

Actually the time reversing is very easy to do, took me few moments to get it working. Time bubble mechanic took a bit longer, but it wasn't too hard either. In the end the worst time spender was too many interactable objects, I think. Drawing them all and copy-pasting grabbing, time, etc. logic took some time and every time I wanted to do some changes to this logic I had to do it with all objects. That's why you shouldn't copy-paste your code, there's more elegant ways to do it!

I tried to have interesting take on the theme, where you literally fight against time, but I guess it was too obscure after all, judging by ratings. Without the theme I wouldn't come up with this idea, after all! :)
