A Tale of [Noun]

Help the Narrator find missing words for his story!

Space or mouse button - advance dialog, interact

Touch the words you want to add to your dictionary - just note that you can have max 3 words at a time. When the narrator stops telling the story, you need to use your words and the story reacts accordingly.

Note: If the audio is stuttering, try playing downloadable version.

This work was initially done for Minijam in 3 days. Here's how it went:

  1. day - got the dialog system working
  2. day - drew graphics
  3. day - wrote text, added music

Then the game was updated for Narrative Driven Jam during the next week. Jam's theme was unreliable narrator, which is the driving force in this game. During week I could polish the game further and add some dialogue options and split the game in 2 game modes - classic - a puzzle type adventure and sandbox - gives the player more freedom but can't unlock new words.
